1791
The ancestor Antonio Marino Bauchevich was born in the island Solta - Croatia
1800 - 1820
Antonio Marino began the international tobacco trade, initially specialized from Izmir to Hamburg and London by sea and then from Istanbul/Kavala
1834
Antonio Marino adopts the Bavarian Tobacco Dealer Georg Buchner to continue the tobacco trade
1864
Georg Buchner Baucevich became a tobacco dealer in Istanbul and married Lucia Sauvaigo and had a son, Friedrich, born in Smirne
1909 - 1914
Friedrich started his own tobacco plant in Xanty and became controller of the Tobacco Règie, on behalf of the Austrian Creditor bank. From his marriage were born three children: Georgette, Georg and Hektor. Friedrich, unfortunately, died of a hearth attack in 1914 during a warehouse fire
1921
Hektor began his apprenticeship in the tobacco sector at the Rudolf Misrachi company in Dresden
1931 - 1945
The 3 Buchner Baucevich owned a tobacco packing company active in Greece, Bulgaria, Türkiye, as one of the main oriental suppliers to the cigarette industry. Hektor was responsible for Sales, Georg was head of purchasing, blending, processing, Georgette and her husband for finance and administration. The activities were in Salonica, Sofia and Izmir.
1943
Hektor married Gertrud Quintillius and Friederich Peter was born
1948 - 1957
Hektor and Georg with Turkish partner Sabaides started processing in Türkiye for export to USA and Germany of Izmir tobacco.
1958 - 1960
Hektor and Georg founded ITC in Salonica and build a processing factory for orientals in Greece.
1958 - 1967
Hektor with Elia Salzman and Ery Kehay entered into the Italian market from Rome with exports of FCV and Burley to UK and Germany mainly.
1961 - 1978
Peter started by himself International Tobacco – Tobacco Trade LTD (Greece) build a warehouse and redrying factory of 10.000 m2 for burley and FCV exports to all European countries. Capacity up to 4,000 tons in partnership with standard commercial Usa (Werhof GMBH Germany).
1964
Peter was the first to develop soft drying for Orientals in Greece for BAT Germany.
1968
Developed the growing of Burley in Hungary through Monimpex.
1972
Peter in Moldova as technical advisor to solve agronomical problems for the factory in Chisinau, which produced also Marlboro.
1974
Peter made, planned and participated financially to the second Italian Thresing plant in Verona (Italy) as DMR.
1975
Peter’s son was born: Helmut Hektor. Peter entered the Rumanian market with Italian tobacco.
1976 - 1980
Peter started:- export to Egypt, Libya and Maghreb of Italian Tobacco- introduced in Italy DAC- growing, packing and selling Havana and IBG in the Benevento and Caserta area
1981 - 1985
In Malta, Peter:- started experiments to produce organic fertilizers- build our factory for the production of Nicofert and first export of 3,000 tons to Dubai- long-term contract for the supply of Nicofert to the Al Naboodah Group Dubai ( we still supply today -2022)
1987 - 1989
Peter started:- exclusive export to Rumania and Albania from Italy of low grade tobacco in large qy (8,000 tons),- buying from Lebanon tobacco and processing it in Italy and export to Russia- export large quantities (2,000 tons /year) in the US of IBG fermented
1990 - 1999
Peter has supplied yearly 10,000 tons of Italian tobacco to Romania. Transferring of the manufacture activities from Malta to Rumania. Started from Rumania export to Cuba 2,000 tons, Russia 2,000 tons, Moldova 1,500 tons
1992 - 1996
- In Rumania built primary factory- in Moldova and Ukraine started packing tobacco- exported cigarettes to Uzbekistan Started producing cut-rag in Rumania Production of cigarettes in Rumania sold on the local market with ROXBORO brand
2000
After Studies and practice, Helmut approached the tobacco business and placed himself side by side to Peter
2002
The new management entered in the Russian, Byelorussian and Ukrainian markets and continued supplying the Rumanian Market. Started sales of cut-rag in Dubai and Georgia
2003
Started sales of cut-rag into Ukraine and Moldova as well as blended strips in Europe
2004 - 2005
Helmut advised to close down completely Rumanian Venture and to transfer all activities to Italy
2007
Helmut went to Bulgaria to start the production of Blended strips with Bulgarian Tobacco
2008
Helmut founded a new tobacco company: Italian Flair srl. Participated to put up a new line for blended strip processing in Italy. Started transfer to the Republic of Moldova and local studies for direct growing and production of cut-rag. Partecipated to put up bew threshing line in Italy.
2011
Build and started production of primary factory in Moldova, - Expanded the production line in Italy with new vacuum Chamber and amplified threshing line and stem processing line
2012
In Finland participated in a company for retail sale of tobacco products and opened our first shop in Helsinki with tube filling machine and our own retail products
2013
Research, development and production of bulk tobacco extracted e-liquids. Development of tobacco “brewery brand” for European market
2015 - 2020
New partnership with an Italian chemical enterprise to extract flavour and essences from tobacco in order to produce vaping liquids for selling in 56 countries with a US partner
2020 - 2021
During Covid-19 period we have been focusing to develop new business lines and new ideas
